Audi A4 named "Top Safety Pick" by the IIHS

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) recently named the 2008 Audi A4 as a “Top Safety Pick” in the midsize category.

The A4 comes standard with dual front, front side and depending upon model, either Side Curtain Protection or seat mounted thorax/head airbags. That is combined with the anti-lock braking and an Electronic Stabilization Program. To achieve a “Top Safety Pick” rating from IIHS, vehicles must have a rating of “good” in front, side, and rear crash protection. The Audi A4 achieved the highest-level crash ratings.
